Cihelna event reenacts alternative history of Czechoslovakia

The Cihelna military-historical event in the Králíky and Prostřední Lipka area is presenting an alternative historical scenario. Unlike traditional reenactments, this year’s program depicts a fictional timeline where Czechoslovakia rejected the Munich Agreement and stood against Germany.

The main combat demonstration, titled ‘Dark Days of the Republic 1938 and 1939’, features Czechoslovak and German military technology, alongside equipment representing Romanian and Soviet armies. The event, held annually since 1991, includes participation from the army, prison service, customs, and firefighters, who demonstrate various tactical scenarios.

Organizers expect higher attendance on Saturday for the primary combat display, which includes more extensive live firing and explosions compared to the Friday rehearsals.
