Cikowice Village Council seeks removal of village head Kacper Frączek

The Village Council of Cikowice, located in the Bochnia municipality, has launched an initiative to remove Kacper Frączek from his position as village head (sołtys). The council is currently collecting signatures to support a motion for a village meeting, where a secret ballot would be held to decide on his dismissal.

The council stated that the move is a result of a general loss of trust in how the village head performs his duties, rather than a single event or a dispute regarding the local parish. They emphasized that the goal is not to resolve ongoing parish conflicts.

Additionally, the council reported receiving anonymous letters containing offensive content directed at its members, a matter that has been reported to the Prosecutor's Office. Kacper Frączek has indicated he intends to present his position during the upcoming village meeting.
