Cilegon government implements content creator training for public services

The Cilegon City Government, through its Department of Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Encryption (Diskominfo), has implemented content creator training for public relations officers within regional government organizations (OPD). The initiative, which began in 2023, aims to improve public service performance and transparency by optimizing information delivery through social media.

Ipung Ernawati Setia Ningrum, Head of Information and Communication Management at Diskominfo Cilegon, stated that the training helps departments package programs into engaging content that keeps pace with technological developments. Despite budget constraints, the program is supported by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships. The department conducts monthly monitoring of social media performance, including follower growth and content activity. Plans are in place to expand this training to the general public in 2027 to further improve human resource quality.
