The Cilegon City Government has canceled its 2026 land acquisition plan for the North Ring Road (JLU) project due to planning stage obstacles. As a result, the allocated budget of Rp35 billion has been redirected to various Regional Government Organizations (OPD) through the 2026 Revised Regional Budget (APBD Perubahan) to maximize other programs.

Despite this setback, the local government intends to reallocate Rp35 billion for the JLU land acquisition in 2027. Officials aim to begin several stages of construction work during that same year.
