Cilento: 17-year-old reports sexual assault by resort animator

A 17-year-old girl from Naples has filed a complaint with the Carabinieri alleging she was sexually assaulted by a 22-year-old resort animator in Cilento, Italy. The victim was vacationing in the region with her father.

According to the report, the incident occurred following an evening spent near the resort's pool where alcohol was consumed. The victim stated she felt increasingly disoriented and was subsequently taken to the animator's room, where the alleged assault took place. She reported experiencing both clear memories and temporal gaps during the night.

After informing her boyfriend, the teenager disclosed the incident to her father. They sought medical attention, prompting healthcare workers to activate ‘Codice Rosa’, a specialized protocol for victims of violence. The Carabinieri have launched an investigation to reconstruct the events and verify the allegations.
