Cilento hosts Dialoghi Mediterranei cultural festival

The Dialoghi Mediterranei festival is concluding its series of events aimed at promoting tourism in the Cilento region through culture, archaeology, and gastronomy. The initiative seeks to destagionalize tourist flows by offering a diverse calendar of activities.

Recent highlights included a cultural and gastronomic event in Pisciotta featuring local traditions such as olive oil and anchovies caught with the 'menaica' net technique, alongside a presentation of journalist Gianni Riotta’s new novel.

The festival will conclude on September 29 with an exploration of Byzantine influence via the Cammino di San Nilo. This trekking route follows the traces of Italo-Greek monasticism, starting from Sapri and passing through 13 villages in the Cilento, Vallo di Diano, and Alburni National Park to reach Palinuro. The final segment will feature an acoustic performance by Piera Lombardi and a seaside tasting.
