Cilento tourism initiative focuses on historical storytelling

Angela Rizzo has presented a new initiative in Rome aimed at promoting the Cilento region through experiential tourism and historical storytelling. The Cilento History Tour focuses on connecting various cultural and natural elements rather than simply listing monuments.

The project integrates several local initiatives, including the recovery of the historic Borgo Riccio, the Story Riders experiences, the Torchiara Story Festival, and the Percorsi d’Arte Contemporanea in Cilento (PACC). It also highlights the region's religious and maritime traditions, such as the Procession of the Madonna di Costantinopoli in Agropoli, as well as its gastronomy and the Mediterranean Diet.

The goal is to foster a form of slow, authentic tourism that emphasizes the identity of the territory by weaving together its heritage, art, and community stories.
