CIM Group proposes 34-story tower in West Hollywood
The West Hollywood Planning Commission is set to consider a major development proposal for 1000 North La Brea Avenue. The project, proposed by CIM Group, involves the construction of a 34-story, 352-foot-tall mixed-use tower on the site of a former concrete plant and warehouse.
The development would include 514 residential units, of which 128 (25%) are designated as affordable housing for very low, low, and moderate-income residents. The tower will also feature approximately 30,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and various amenities, including a pool deck and rooftop areas.
A notable aspect of the proposal is the inclusion of six billboards integrated into the building's facades, including one full-motion digital display. Under the proposed agreement, the City of West Hollywood would receive 20 percent of the “Adjusted Net Revenues” from the advertising. However, the specific financial impact remains unclear as the revenue is calculated after expenses and deductions, and the agreement lacks a minimum annual guarantee.
