CIMAA announces new cybersecurity office and public sector training

The Intermunicipal Community of Alto Alentejo (CIMAA) has announced two new initiatives aimed at improving administrative efficiency and digital security.

First, CIMAA will host a free training session on Conflict Management for public administration workers on October 13, 2026, in Portalegre. The seven-hour program is designed to help professionals identify and manage workplace conflicts through active listening, emotional validation, and assertive communication. The session is limited to 20 participants and focuses on fostering collaborative and psychologically safe work environments.

Additionally, the CIMAA Intermunicipal Council has approved the creation of the Intermunicipal Office of Cybersecurity and ICT. This new department is intended to strengthen governance, risk management, and incident response regarding digital systems and infrastructure. The move responds to increasing legal requirements and the growing reliance on digital services to ensure organizational resilience and continuity.
