CIMB Niaga reports growth in digital banking and EV financing

CIMB Niaga and its subsidiaries are reporting significant growth across several financial sectors in Indonesia. Through its OCTO digital platform, CIMB Niaga saw a 65% year-on-year increase in QRIS transactions during the first half of 2026. The bank is also preparing to expand its cross-border QRIS services to Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia, following Bank Indonesia’s connectivity initiatives.

In the financing sector, CIMB Niaga Auto Finance (CNAF) reported a 68% surge in electric vehicle (EV) financing, reaching Rp 1.41 trillion by August 2026. Additionally, CNAF’s sharia-based financing grew by 21% year-on-year to Rp 4.93 trillion. This trend of sharia growth is mirrored by Adira Finance, which reached Rp 7.2 trillion in sharia financing by August 2026.

Broadly, the Indonesian market is seeing a rise in syndicated credit agreements, which increased 36.9% year-on-year to a total value of US$ 25.51 billion as of October 1, 2026.
