Ciments du Maroc reports lower first-half 2026 profits
Ciments du Maroc reported a decline in net profit for the first half of 2026. The consolidated net income reached 559 MMAD, an 8.2% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. This decline is attributed to financial charges related to the acquisition of Asment de Témara and the absence of a capital gain recorded in the previous year.
While consolidated operating revenue rose by 21.4% to 2,661 MMAD due to the expanded scope following the Asment de Témara acquisition, comparable revenue actually fell by 6%. The Moroccan cement market saw a 1.3% contraction during the first half of 2026, impacted by heavy rainfall that disrupted construction activities.
Despite these challenges, the company reported a 16.3% increase in operating income through industrial excellence programs and cost management. Ciments du Maroc also continues its decarbonization strategy using alternative fuels and low-carbon product lines.
