CIMMETAL launches Elephant Cement plant in Ghana

The CIMMETAL Group inaugurated its new cement factory, CIMCO Limited, in Ghana on 24 July 2026. The plant began production under the brand “Elephant Cement”, delivering its first 50 kg bag marked “Made in Ghana”. The launch, overseen by group chief executive Inoussa Kanazoé and general manager Rahim Kanazoé, adds a new node to the company's West African network that already includes facilities in Burkina Faso, Togo, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire and other countries.

The Ghana facility is expected to create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs and to boost the regional construction market by supplying cement that meets both national and international standards. The expansion reflects the group's strategy of leveraging local expertise and youthful leadership to strengthen economic integration within the ECOWAS zone.
