Ciénaga hosts fourth Magdalena Arena Beach sports event

The fourth edition of the Magdalena Arena Beach challenge is scheduled to take place this Sunday, August 16, at Playa Miramar in Ciénaga. Organized by the Gobernación del Magdalena and the Instituto Departamental de Deportes (Indeportes), the event aims to promote physical activity and the use of natural spaces within the department.

The program begins at 7:00 AM and includes qualifying rounds for the challenge, beach volleyball tournaments, rugby, foot tennis, and a beach judo exhibition. In addition to competitive sports, the event will feature recreational activities for children, including a theme park and inflatable zones, as well as educational spaces focused on road safety. The day will conclude with a cultural program titled ‘Champeta a la Playa’ and an awards ceremony.
