Cincinnati Bengals WR Andrei Iosivas placed on injured reserve

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas has been placed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed the injury, noting that while it is not season-ending, Iosivas is expected to miss approximately four to six weeks.

Iosivas, who serves as the team’s No. 3 wide receiver, has been a contributor to both the passing and run games. Quarterback Joe Burrow indicated that the team will look to replace his production “by committee,” utilizing players such as Dohnte Meyers and Colbie Young to fill the void in the offensive rotation.

The injury comes as the Bengals prepare for an upcoming AFC North matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
