Cincinnati Reds place Ke'Bryan Hayes on 10-day injured list
The Cincinnati Reds have placed third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes on the 10-day injured list due to a left groin strain. The move is retroactive to Thursday.
Hayes, 29, is experiencing a difficult season, currently batting .153 with five home runs and eight RBIs through 78 games. This marks his second stint on the injured list this year, following a previous absence from May to July due to a bulging disc in his back.
In response to Hayes' injury, the Reds have recalled infielder Edwin Arroyo from Triple-A Louisville. Arroyo, 23, has a .244 batting average in 44 major league games this season.
