Cinderella Russian Bakery expands to San Francisco Mission District

Cinderella Russian Bakery & Cafe, a San Francisco institution operating since 1953, has opened a second location in the Mission District. The new 3,500-square-foot space at 2937 24th Street is significantly larger than the bakery’s original 1,600-square-foot location in the Richmond District.

Owners Mike and Marika Fishman intend to use the expanded capacity to grow their wholesale operations, increase catering options, and expand their lineup of breads and cakes. The new site features two double-deck ovens, allowing for greater production than the original shop. While the initial menu mirrors the Richmond location—including piroshki, pierogi, borsch, and burnt honey cake—the team plans to introduce dinner service and expanded hours once operations stabilize.
