CineEco Film Festival to screen 106 films in Seia

The 32nd edition of CineEco, the Serra da Estrela International Environmental Film Festival, will take place in Seia from October 9 to 17. The festival will showcase a total of 106 films, selected from 410 original submissions.

Of the total screenings, 87 films from 34 different countries will compete across six main categories. The selection includes fiction, documentaries, and visual arts works produced via digital, video, or film media, all centered on environmental themes.

The international feature film selection includes ten documentaries making their absolute Portuguese premiere. These works, which have been featured at major festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, and Rotterdam, address topics including economic models, environmental activism, climate apartheid, environmental migration, and resource exploitation across five continents.
