CineLibri 2026 film festival to feature literary adaptations in Bulgaria

The 12th edition of the CineLibri film festival, themed ‘Civilization of Spectacle’, is scheduled to take place from October 15 to November 8, 2026. The event will be held across several Bulgarian cities, including Sofia, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, and Pernik.

In Stara Zagora, screenings will be hosted at the Zahari Knjazheski Regional Library with free admission, supported by the Stara Zagora Municipality. The program features eight film titles inspired by literary works, showcasing contemporary European cinema.

Featured screenings include the Bulgarian documentary ‘Petoknizhie Anjelovo’, which chronicles the 100-year life of Angel Wagenstein—a resistance fighter, camp survivor, and prolific writer. Additionally, the French comedy ‘All About Corinne’, starring Isabelle Huppert, will be presented.
