CineLibri film-literary festival to launch October 15

The CineLibri film-literary festival is set to begin on October 15 under the theme ‘Civilization of Spectacle’. The upcoming marathon features several cinematic highlights.

One featured film, ‘The Black Ball’ (La bola negra), is directed by the duo Los Javis (Javier Ambrosi and Javier Calvo). Inspired by an unfinished 1936 text by Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, the film explores themes of identity, sexuality, and repression across generations rather than serving as a traditional biography.

Another highly anticipated film is Danny Boyle’s new work, which focuses on the year 1969. The story depicts how Rupert Murdoch and editor Larry Lamb transformed the British newspaper The Sun into a sensationalist tabloid, fundamentally altering the landscape of the British media.
