Cinema City acquires Cine Gold multiplex in Sibiu

Cinema City has acquired the Cine Gold multiplex located in Promenada Mall, Sibiu. The facility features nine screens and 1,378 seats, marking the 30th location for the company within Romania.

This acquisition is part of a broader 15 million euro investment plan in Romania scheduled through the end of 2027. The strategy includes both the renovation of existing sites and the opening of new locations. The company has also announced its next planned opening at Promenada Mall in Bucharest, which is expected to launch in the spring of 2027.

Cinema City is part of Regal Global Entertainment, the world’s second-largest cinema operator. In Romania, the company currently operates across 22 cities with a total of 30 multiplexes, 273 screens, and over 48,378 seats.
