Cinema events scheduled in Braunschweig and Baden-Württemberg

Various cinema-related educational and community events are scheduled across Germany. In Braunschweig, the Amt für regionale Landesentwicklung (ArL) is hosting a free screening of the documentary ‘Surf On, Europe!’ at the Universum Filmtheater on October 26. The film explores themes of freedom and identity within Europe. Attendees can participate in a live digital Q&A session with director Lukas Steinbrecher following the screening, though ticket reservations are required.

In Baden-Württemberg, the SchulKinoWoche will take place from November 19 to 27, 2026. This initiative turns cinemas into learning spaces for school classes, featuring a program of 48 films spanning various subjects and grade levels. Registration for teachers is open until November 5. The cost is five euros per student, while two accompanying adults per class can attend for free. Over 100,000 students are already registered for this anniversary edition.
