Cinema festivals and discounted screenings announced in Morocco and France

The third edition of the Cinema Festival is returning to Morocco from September 10 to 13, 2026. During this four-day event, spectators can watch films at partner multiplexes across the kingdom for a flat rate of 30 DH per screening. A major highlight is the national release of ‘Les Baronnes’ by Belgian-Moroccan director Nabil Ben Yadir, a social comedy focusing on women's stories.

In France, the What a Trip Festival is extending its programming in Montpellier. On September 10, the Centre Rabelais will host screenings of award-winning films ‘Marisol-Ha’ and ‘La Dernière Marche’. The festival organizers plan to continue offering film projections and themed events throughout the year in various locations across the Montpellier metropolitan area.
