Various international film festivals and local cinemas have announced diverse programming for September, focusing on national works, classics, and specialized genres.

In Chile, the Sala de Cine de Ñuñoa is hosting a cycle of national productions featuring directors and actors, while FICValdivia has announced its youth and children's juries for 2026. In Mexico, the Shorts México festival will showcase 28 short films in Mérida, including categories for Mexican cinema and indigenous peoples. Other regional highlights include the Cine de Barrio in Paraguay presenting a cycle on historical censorship, the Filmoteca CajaCanarias in Tenerife returning with a cycle of acclaimed films, and a community audiovisual showcase in La Vega, Venezuela, aimed at strengthening social ties through film and workshops.
