Cinema updates: New film series and premieres in Minden and Neustadt

New film programming is launching in several German locations. In Minden, the “Kirchen und Kino” series will begin on October 7 at the Albert-Schweitzer-Haus, following the closure of the local “Birke” cinema. The series, curated by evangelical and Catholic film departments, will feature monthly screenings through May. The lineup includes the Norwegian-Danish drama “Sentimental Value,” the film “Karla,” and “Dann passiert das Leben” starring Anke Engelke and Ulrich Tukur.

In Neustadt, program cinemas Thalia and Schauburg are introducing new releases. Notable upcoming titles include “Primetime,” a film starring Robert Pattinson that reconstructs the scandal surrounding the US reality format “To Catch a Predator,” and “Jim Queen,” which follows a fitness influencer in a world affected by a mysterious virus.
