Brazil celebrates National Cinema Day with festivals, funding boosts and international showcases
On June 19 2026 Brazil marked National Cinema Day, a nationwide celebration of its film heritage. Similar regional support was evident in São Paulo’s interior, where the SP Produz program helped the Filma Bauru festival expand its lineup and accessibility measures.
