Cineverse's RetroCrush acquires anime content from VIZ Media

Cineverse has announced a licensing agreement between its anime streaming service, RetroCrush, and VIZ Media. The deal will bring major anime franchises to the RetroCrush SVOD app for the first time.

Included titles feature films and series from popular franchises such as Naruto, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Specific film additions include ‘Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow’, ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon R Movie’, ‘BLEACH: Hell Verse’, and ‘Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge’. Television series such as ‘Hikaru no Go’, ‘Captain Tsubasa’, and ‘Vampire Knight’ are also slated for the platform.

The announcement coincided with RetroCrush’s participation in the Anime NYC convention. RetroCrush focuses on content from the ‘Golden Age of anime’ and is available via standalone app, Prime Video Channels, Comcast, and The Roku Channel, among other platforms.
