Portugal hosts diverse cultural, music, and wine harvest festivals
Portugal is hosting a wide array of cultural, musical, and viticultural events throughout late August and September.
In the Algarve, Festival F in Faro features 67 concerts across various genres, including pop, hip hop, and fado. Other regional celebrations include the Medieval Festim in Atouguia da Baleia, the Sardoal Municipal Festivities, and the Summer End youth festival in Almodôvar. Large-scale events such as the Montemor-o-Velho Feira do Ano and the 65th Celestino Graça Festival in Santarém also highlight local traditions and arts.
The wine sector is highly active during the harvest season. The IVDP is promoting Douro and Port wines at festivals in the UK, while domestic events include the Dão Wine Fair in Nelas, the Vindouro festival in São João da Pesqueira, and various harvest experiences in the Monção and Melgaço regions. Additionally, the Quinta das Lágrimas is celebrating its 700th anniversary with a new Harvest Party event.
