Cinémathèque française hosts Jean-Paul Belmondo exhibition in Paris
The Cinémathèque française has launched an immersive exhibition in Paris dedicated to the career of actor Jean-Paul Belmondo. Running from October 7 until January 31, 2027, the event honors the legendary figure five years after his passing.
Through the use of film clips, photographs, and props, the exhibition explores Belmondo’s diverse filmography, which spanned genres including drama, comedy, and action. The curation aims to capture the actor’s energy and his unique ability to occupy the screen, tracing his journey from the Nouvelle Vague movement to his status as a popular cinema icon known for his daring stunts.
Curator Clémentine Deroudille designed the experience to evoke a sense of the actor’s ongoing presence. The exhibition is located at 51 rue de Bercy in the 12th arrondissement, with guided tours available on weekends. A retrospective film screening will also accompany the exhibition throughout its duration.
