Cinépolis error misdates Avengers: Doomsday pre-sale in Monterrey

Cinépolis experienced a technical error during the pre-sale for 'Avengers: Doomsday' at its Punto Valle complex in Monterrey, Mexico. The system incorrectly listed showtimes for Wednesday, December 16, 2026, one day before the official Mexican release scheduled for Thursday, December 17, 2026.

The cinema chain acknowledged the mistake via email to affected customers, clarifying that the film will not be available for screening on the incorrect date. Cinépolis stated that staff would contact buyers directly to offer alternatives, such as modifying the tickets to the correct premiere date.

The incident gained traction on social media after customers questioned whether the unexpected date change was a fraudulent attempt. Cinépolis has since corrected its website to show the proper release date, and customers can also visit the Punto Valle location to resolve ticket discrepancies.
