Cinéroman Festival returns to Nice with literary film adaptations

The eighth edition of the Cinéroman Festival is scheduled to take place in Nice from September 28 to October 3. The event focuses on the intersection of literature and cinema, featuring films adapted from literary works.

The program includes eight films in competition, approximately twenty premieres, and screenings of cinematic classics. The festival will host various masterclasses and meetings between actors, directors, and writers.

Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet is set to open the festivities. He will present his classic ‘A Very Long Engagement’ at the Rialto, followed by the official opening at Pathé Gare du Sud with his new film ‘Changer l’eau des fleurs’. This film, adapted from the novel by Valérie Perrin, features Leïla Bekhti, Melvil Poupaud, and Matthias Schoenaerts. Other scheduled appearances include Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Vincent Perez, and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
