CIO launches trade-in campaign for semi-solid state mobile batteries
CIO, a Japanese consumer electronics company, has launched a trade-in campaign to encourage the transition to safer semi-solid state mobile batteries. Running from October 13 to October 19, the campaign allows customers to recycle old mobile batteries—regardless of whether they are CIO products or from other manufacturers—in exchange for a 10% discount coupon.
The discount is applicable to specific semi-solid state models available at the CIO official store on Amazon. This initiative is part of CIO's broader strategy to shift its product lineup toward semi-solid state technology, which features a lower risk of fire, starting in December 2025. To participate, customers must register as CIO members and follow a multi-step application and return process using provided envelopes.
