CIO NovaPort TRIO II 140W charger tested with ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14
A technical review tested the CIO NovaPort TRIO II 140W PD rapid charger to determine its effectiveness as a portable alternative to heavy AC adapters for high-performance laptops. The testing focused on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 GA403WW, a high-spec laptop equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU.
During testing, the charger successfully maintained the laptop's battery level during standard use and 3DMark benchmarks. Under extreme workloads, such as simultaneous benchmarking and 4K video exporting, the battery level saw a minor decrease from 99% to 97%, indicating that while the 140W capacity is high, it may not fully meet the peak power demands of the most intensive tasks. However, the charger allowed the user to manually trigger the laptop's maximum performance modes, a feature typically unavailable when running solely on battery power.
