Cira-MT secures judicial orders to recover R$ 1.6 million in Mato Grosso
The Interinstitutional Asset Recovery Committee of Mato Grosso (Cira-MT) has secured two judicial decisions aimed at recovering over R$ 1.6 million for the state treasury. The rulings, issued by judicial centers in Tangará da Serra and Rondonópolis, involve the freezing of assets, bank accounts, vehicles, and the seizure of real estate to address crimes against the tax order.
One investigation focuses on a company in Nova Mutum operating in construction materials and mechanical services. Authorities identified evidence of unpaid ICMS taxes for the years 2022 and 2023, totaling more than R$ 1.1 million. This case has resulted in the indictment of a suspect.
A second investigation, involving potential tax fraud in agricultural product commercialization, is being processed in Primavera do Leste. Both cases were led by the Specialized Tax Crimes Police (Defaz) with support from the Public Ministry of Mato Grosso (MPMT).
