Circolo di Scacchi Torri Carniche established in Sutrio

The Circolo di Scacchi Torri Carniche has been established in Sutrio, aiming to become the only chess club in the Carnia region with official affiliation to the Italian Chess Federation (FSI). Led by president Giovanni Riefolo, the club offers structured chess courses for various skill levels, including children.

Instruction includes basic courses for beginners and advanced courses for those preparing for competitive play. To accommodate participants with scheduling conflicts, lessons from a certified FSI instructor in Rome are recorded and made available on the club’s official website. The association plans to hold its constituent assembly in late October, with official FSI affiliation expected by January 2027.
