Circuit of the Americas hosts FIA WEC Lone Star Le Mans

The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) returns from its summer break for the Lone Star Le Mans at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Texas. Scheduled for September 4-6, 2026, this event marks the sixth of eight races in the season.

The championship battle is highly competitive, with Toyota and BMW locked in a tight fight for both the Manufacturers' and Drivers' titles. Toyota currently leads the Manufacturers' standings with 132 points, followed closely by BMW with 127 points. While both manufacturers have secured two wins this season, neither has yet won at the COTA circuit.

The race field will consist of 35 vehicles, including 17 Hypercars and 18 LMGT3 cars. High temperatures and unpredictable weather are expected to be significant factors at the technical 5.513-kilometer track. Other major contenders include Ferrari, which sits third in the standings, and Cadillac.
