Circular unveils Ring 3 smart rings with contactless payment capabilities

Circular has introduced its next generation of smart wearables, the Ring 3 Pro and Ring 3 Slim, which distinguish themselves from competitors by integrating NFC chips for contactless payments. Through a solution called ‘Circular Pay,’ users can add Visa or Mastercard credentials to their rings to facilitate transactions.

The Ring 3 Pro features advanced health monitoring capabilities, including FDA-cleared ECG for atrial fibrillation (AFib) detection, blood pressure monitoring, and blood sugar tracking. It offers up to 12 days of battery life. The Ring 3 Slim is a more compact, lightweight version designed for daily wear, providing up to 10 days of battery life while tracking metrics such as heart rate, SpO2, sleep phases, and skin temperature.

Both models include haptic motors to provide silent alarms, medication reminders, and guidance for breathing exercises. Constructed from titanium steel, the rings are water-resistant up to 50 meters and support wireless charging. The series is expected to be available for purchase in early 2027.
