Circumvesuviana railway implements new schedules and maintenance closures

The Circumvesuviana railway line is undergoing significant operational changes. Federalberghi Costa del Vesuvio has expressed support for new service schedules, noting that the restoration and enhancement of stops in San Giorgio a Cremano, Portici, Ercolano, and Torre del Greco will improve accessibility to cultural and archaeological sites and support tourism.

However, scheduled maintenance will cause temporary disruptions. On the evenings of Monday, October 19, and Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the section between Poggiomarino and Sarno will be closed from 20:15 until the end of service. These works involve the deployment of a bypass and road surface repairs near the Martusciello level crossing at Striano station. EAV will provide replacement bus services between Sarno and Poggiomarino during these periods.
