Circus productions debut in Chile and Mexico
The performing arts scene features new multidisciplinary and traditional circus productions. In Chile, the Colectivo Artístico Circo Virtual, in co-production with GAM, presents ‘Sismo’. This work uses contemporary circus, light, sound, and technology to explore the relationship between seismic movements, the Earth, and human memory through a philosophical and sensory lens.
In Mexico, the legendary Circo Atayde has debuted at Foro Boca. Led by ringmaster Ariel López Padilla, the production blends traditional circus with contemporary theatrical elements. The show features international performers, including Ukrainian juggler Dmytro Onyshchenko, aerial artist Tatiana Ozhiganova, and Cuban specialists Leo and Diosmani, supported by a cast of over 25 dancers and live music.
