Cirebon Health Office awaits West Java decree on patient financing

The Cirebon District Health Office is awaiting a gubernatorial decree from the West Java Provincial Government to clarify the financing mechanism for patients without BPJS Kesehatan or active insurance coverage.

Eni Suhaeni, Head of the Cirebon District Health Office, emphasized that hospitals are required to provide medical services regardless of administrative or insurance status. While the local government maintains the Regional Health Insurance (Jamkesda) program, the specific division of financial responsibility and budget allocation between the provincial and district governments remains pending the new regulation. The goal is to ensure that patients are not turned away while preventing double financing.
