Cirebon Regency wins national award for halal industry support

The Cirebon Regency Government has secured third place nationally in the Indonesia Halal Industry Award (IHYA), organized by the Ministry of Industry. This achievement recognizes the local government's support for the development of the halal industry.

Cirebon is the only region from West Java to receive this specific recognition. The award follows a rigorous evaluation process involving administrative selection, verification, and judging, where Cirebon ranked among 514 regencies and cities across Indonesia.

According to Suhartono, Head of the Cirebon Regency Department of Trade and Industry, the success is attributed to superior human resources and collaboration with various stakeholders, including higher education institutions. The region also hosts the Cirebon Halal Festival (Cihafest) to promote and strengthen the local halal ecosystem.
