Ciro Immobile appointed head of delegation for Italy Under-16

Former Italian striker Ciro Immobile has been appointed as the head of delegation for the Italy Under-16 national football team. The decision was strongly supported by FIGC President Giovanni Malagò.

Immobile, who recently retired from professional football after a career including stints at Lazio, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund, will work alongside technical commissioner Giovanni Costantino. His role is intended to provide young players with mentorship regarding professionalism, pressure management, and the values of representing the national team.

Immobile is scheduled to make his debut during the Under-16 team's upcoming matches against Spain at Coverciano, scheduled for September 15 and September 17. Immobile expressed his desire to ‘give back to football’ by sharing the experiences he gained both on and off the pitch with the next generation of players.
