Ciro Immobile approached for FIGC management role

Following his recent retirement from professional football, former striker Ciro Immobile has reportedly been approached by Giovanni Malagò, the president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), regarding a potential leadership role within the organization.

According to reports from Corriere della Sera, Malagò initiated an exploratory telephone call to discuss the possibility of Immobile joining the federation's management structure. While neither party has officially confirmed or denied the news, the proposal suggests an operational role that could involve working closely with the technical area of the national teams.

If the move proceeds, Immobile would join a management team that includes other prominent figures such as Claudio Ranieri, Gianfranco Zola, and Gabriele Oriali. The initiative aims to leverage Immobile's extensive experience as a leader and a key member of Italy's Euro 2021 winning squad to assist in the restructuring of Italian football.
