Cirque du Soleil announces 2027 Japan tour for ‘Kooza’

Cirque du Soleil will bring its production ‘Kooza’ to Japan in 2027, marking the show’s first performance in the country in 16 years. The tour is being specially sponsored by Earth Corporation.

The production is scheduled to run from February 24 to April 25, 2027, at the Odaiba Big Top in Tokyo, and from August 7 to October 24, 2027, at the Osaka Castle Big Top. ‘Kooza’ is a performance that blends high-level acrobatics with clown artistry, centered around a story of a character named Innocent traveling through a mysterious world.

At a press conference held in Tokyo, Earth Corporation CEO Katsunori Kawabata expressed enthusiasm for the sponsorship, noting the company's goal of delivering small moments of emotion to customers. Special supporters Osamu Shitara, FANTASTICS, and Riko Yagi also attended the event. Shitara, a long-time fan of the troupe, shared his experience watching the show in Melbourne, highlighting the interactive nature of the performance where audience members are often drawn into the spectacle.
