Cirque du Soleil brings Alegría production to São Paulo

Cirque du Soleil is launching its production ‘Alegría – In A New Light’ in São Paulo, marking its first stop in Latin America after a two-and-a-half-year run in Europe. The show will be hosted in a 19-meter-high Grand Tent at Parque Villa-Lobos from August 20 to November 8, before moving to Curitiba through December.

The production is a massive logistical undertaking, involving the transport of 85 containers and 2,500 tons of equipment. The traveling troupe consists of 119 professionals, including 54 international artists, and operates as a self-contained ‘small village’ to support the performers.

Zurich Seguros is the official sponsor for the Brazilian season. In addition to the performances, the insurer is hosting interactive experiences and promotional activations at the park, offering various digital and offline engagement opportunities for the public.
