Cirque du Soleil brings Alegría tour to Brazil

Cirque du Soleil has launched its production “Alegría — In a New Light” in Brazil. The show is currently performing at Parque Villa Lobos in São Paulo and is scheduled to remain there until November. Following the São Paulo season, the tour will move to Curitiba, performing at the Expotrade Convention Center from November 19 to December 13.

The production is a reimagining of the classic 1994 show, featuring updated technology, new costumes, and new musical numbers while maintaining the original plot regarding the struggle between the old order and youth. The cast includes 54 international artists, including Brazilian performers.

The Brazilian tour features several corporate partnerships and brand activations. EQI Investimentos serves as the official presenter, with Shell as a master sponsor and Zurich as a gold sponsor. Other partners include Accor, Blue Moon, and Eventim, with various initiatives designed to connect brands with the cultural experience through exclusive lounges and behind-the-scenes access.
