Ciryl Gane to defend heavyweight title against Josh Hokit at UFC 334

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has provided a tactical analysis of the upcoming heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit at UFC 334, scheduled for November 14 at Madison Square Garden.

Bisping noted that Hokit must utilize his wrestling background and constant forward pressure to prevent Gane from establishing a long-range striking match. While acknowledging Hokit's rapid rise from the Contender Series to a title shot, Bisping warned that the challenger must tighten his defensive openings and maintain a tighter guard to avoid being caught by Gane’s technical movement and athleticism.

The matchup follows a period of uncertainty regarding the heavyweight championship status. After Tom Aspinall vacated the title due to health issues, Ciryl Gane was recognized as the undisputed champion, despite initial conflicting statements from UFC leadership regarding whether further fights were required to solidify his status.
