Cisambiente Confindustria celebrates 10 years of environmental industry growth
Cisambiente Confindustria celebrated its tenth anniversary at an event in Rome, marking its evolution from a small group of 11 founders in 2016 to a major association representing 1,547 companies. The organization focuses on the environmental industry, specifically emphasizing circular economy models, sustainable resource management, material recovery, and energy production.
During the event, Director General Lucia Leonessi noted that recycling has become the association’s core business. She highlighted Italy’s technological excellence in creating value from waste but also identified ongoing industry needs, such as tax relief and the simplification of bureaucratic processes for faster authorizations.
President Donato Notarangelo stated that the environmental industry is playing a decisive role in the transition toward a more competitive and circular economy. The event was attended by various authorities, including the Minister of Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin.
