Cisco rolls out personal AI agents to 90,000 employees
Cisco has begun a global rollout of MyAgent, a personal AI agent, to its approximately 90,000 employees. Unlike standard chatbots, MyAgent is designed for “supervised autonomous execution,” meaning it can carry out tasks across various enterprise systems including Outlook, Webex, Jira, and SharePoint.
The tool is built upon Cisco’s internal AI platform, Circuit, which acts as a multi-model orchestrator. Circuit dynamically routes requests to the most appropriate AI model—such as Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini—based on the specific task's requirements for speed, cost, and complexity. This approach aims to optimize token usage and manage operational costs.
While the deployment represents one of the largest corporate AI assistant rollouts to date, Cisco executives noted the transition has been challenging. Liz Centoni, head of the customer experience division, described the shift as “surgery without the drugs,” highlighting the difficulties of large-scale implementation. To support the rollout, the company is pairing the technology with upskilling programs to ensure employees can effectively integrate the agents into their workflows.
