Cisco Systems and Lattice Semiconductor see divergent stock movements

Cisco Systems saw its stock price decline following a price target reduction by Piper Sandler from 132 USD to 125 USD. Analyst James Fish suggested that growth in the traditional networking business may be reaching its peak. Despite the stock drop, Cisco reported a 17.58 percent increase in quarterly revenue to 17.25 billion USD for the period ending July 31, 2026, with adjusted earnings per share of 1.22 USD exceeding consensus estimates. The company also noted that AI infrastructure orders from hyperscalers reached 4 billion USD in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026.

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation experienced significant stock gains driven by strong quarterly results and new product announcements. The company reported a 62.2 percent year-over-year revenue increase to 201.1 million USD in its second quarter of fiscal year 2026. Adjusted earnings per share were 0.53 USD, surpassing the consensus of 0.44 USD.

Lattice also introduced the Mach-N2 FPGA family and the Prompt-AI development tool. The new FPGA family is designed for data centers and communication infrastructure, featuring integrated non-volatile flash memory and post-quantum cryptography support. The Prompt-AI tool aims to integrate AI-driven automation into FPGA design processes.
