CISF partners with NeGD to enhance drone and AI security
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to provide specialized training for personnel in emerging technologies. The partnership aims to address evolving threats to India's critical infrastructure, such as airports, nuclear power plants, and metro networks, which now face risks from drones, artificial intelligence, and cyber intrusions.
Under the agreement, NeGD will act as a knowledge partner, identifying academic institutions and technical experts to develop training modules. CISF Director General Praveer Ranjan noted that threats to strategic assets are increasingly emerging from the aerial and cyber spheres, necessitating hands-on skills in rapidly advancing technological fields.
